1. Controller and scope
WALLET BUDDHA LLC, 1400 112TH AVE SE STE 100, BELLEVUE, WA 98004-6901, UNITED STATES, is responsible for the information described in this policy.
This policy covers the Buddha Chip Android companion identified by package com.walletbuddha2.app, the website at buddha.co.com, and official support communications.
2. Information the Android app does not collect
The Android app does not collect, retain, upload, or share:
- names, email addresses, telephone numbers, account credentials, or identity documents;
- private keys, recovery words, seed phrases, chip PINs, passwords, or passphrases;
- precise location, contacts, photographs, microphone recordings, advertising identifiers, or personal files;
- NFC tag identifiers; or
- data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or cross-service tracking.
The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, remote-configuration, or other third-party runtime SDK.
3. Information processed locally
To provide its visible features, the app may process the following information locally on the phone:
- NFC availability and enabled status;
- temporary NFC tag-presence events;
- a public address exposed by a compatible NFC NDEF record;
- the public receive address, which is masked by default and displayed in the Receive view only after the user taps the eye control;
- the balance state displayed in the connection view; and
- the public address copied to the Android clipboard after the user taps Copy Public Address;
- one local preference recording acceptance of the in-app Privacy Policy; and
- one local preference recording whether the welcome and connection guide has been completed.
This information is not uploaded to WALLET BUDDHA LLC. A chip-derived public address is held in memory only while the app is in use or until the user disconnects the chip. The privacy-acceptance and welcome-completion preferences contain no address, chip identifier, account data, or secret material. Clipboard content is controlled by Android and may remain available until it is overwritten or cleared by the operating system or user.
4. Network connections
The current Android app does not request Internet permission. It does not connect to public blockchain nodes, relay networks, analytics services, advertising services, or WALLET BUDDHA LLC servers.
The balance shown by the current app is a local display state and is not retrieved from a blockchain network.
When a user opens Website, Privacy Policy, or Contact Support from Settings, Android sends the request to an external browser or email application selected by the user. The privacy practices of that external application or destination then apply.
5. Device permission
NFC — used to detect a compatible Buddha Chip and read a public address from a compatible NDEF record. NFC support is optional at the Android device level.
The app requests no other device permission.
6. Website and support information
The current website has no account registration, user data-entry forms, advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, or retargeting pixels. The website host may process standard security logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date, and time for availability, security, and abuse prevention.
If a user contacts support by email, WALLET BUDDHA LLC and its email provider process the sender's address and message content to respond. Users must never include a private key, recovery phrase, chip PIN, password, or passphrase in a support message.
7. Sharing and sale of data
WALLET BUDDHA LLC does not share personal data for advertising. Limited website-log or support information may be processed by hosting, email, security, or professional service providers only as necessary to operate the website, respond to support requests, comply with law, or protect users and the service.
8. Retention and deletion
- The Android app does not maintain a remote user account or server-side app profile.
- Temporary chip information is cleared from app memory when the chip is disconnected or the app process ends.
- The Privacy Policy acceptance preference remains locally until the user clears the app's data.
- The welcome-completion preference remains locally until the user selects Show Welcome Screen or clears the app's data.
- Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain an appropriate support record.
- Website security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting.
Users may request access, correction, or deletion of support information by contacting [email protected], subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification.
9. Security
Private keys and recovery material must remain on the physical chip or in the user's offline recovery backup. The website and Android app do not request secret material. Website connections use TLS/SSL where supported, and reasonable safeguards are applied to website and support information.
10. Children's privacy
The Buddha Chip product, website, and Android app are not directed to children under 13, and WALLET BUDDHA LLC does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app.
11. International processing
WALLET BUDDHA LLC is established in the United States. Website-hosting or support information may be processed outside a user's country with safeguards required by applicable privacy law.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, website, or applicable requirements change. The current version will remain available at https://buddha.co.com/privacy.html with its revision date.
